A New Feature
If you have visited the site recently you will notice a new item in the sidebar that says “Add my expertise to your Google searches”. What exactly does this little do-hicky do?
This little do-dad allows me to call out links of interest for home brewers. I know that is not a good explanation so allow me to elaborate.
When you search Google you have to supply keywords to let Google know what you are searching for. If you search for a keyword that I have set up a link for you will see the link show up as #4 on the results page with a little message.
Since a demonstration is always better than an explanation I would like you to do the following. Don’t worry, it won’t take long. (Doing this will take you away from this site so please print the instructions or commit them to memory.
- Click on the button to the right that says “Add my expertise…”
- Follow the process to confirm that you want to subscribe to me.
- Go to www.google.com
- Search for home beer brewing - You have to use this specific phrase otherwise it will not work.
Scroll down to the fourth result and click on it to bring you back to this blog.
I will be using this to communicate links of interest to you so keep your eyes open for these links.
